The life and work of scientist Alfred Russel Wallace and the relationship he had with Charles Darwin as they both developed their theories on evolution and natural selection.

This is a wonderful interview, with Dr John Van Wyhe talking that other developer of the theory of evolution, Alfred Russel Wallace.

What struck me most about this interview was the description of what happened.

Darwin was writing his books. He received a letter from Wallace detailing his ideas.

Darwin realised Wallace had come up with the same theory.

Darwin then suggested he could not publish his book, and should allow Wallace to take the credit.
It was agreed that both would publish together.

An amazing reminder of scientific gentlemen. Men who became great friends and allies.

So different to the recent Climategate revelations.

I'll add the link when it's available.
